NBA Kickoff
Last night, October 25th, the NBA kicked off the season. Following the free agency madness this past summer, this season is guaranteed to be entertaining.

The Cleveland Cavaliers started the season of with their ring ceremony. Raising their NBA Champion banner and ending the 52-year curse, Cleveland made sure everyone remembered the Warriors blew a 3-1 lead. Just take a look at their rings.
The Cavaliers followed this up by stomping the Knicks by 29, with a final score of 117-88. You guessed it; LeBron dominated the game, leaving with a triple-double, and his first in a season opener.
The hysteria in the media began to swirl, as the Knicks ‘super team’ looked flat and the Warriors lost on opening night.
Kevin Durant was the largest shopped free agent this summer. He decided to part ways with OKC and Westbrook to join forces with Curry, Thompson and the Warriors. This move turned him into the villain of the league. One of the best players teaming up with one of the best teams ever, of course the media will turn him into a villain.
Following the loss, memes and edits were created saying Durant wanted out of Golden State. A picture of him in a Spurs jersey and collage’s of him texting Russell Westbrook were some of the more notable ones.
Does this come as a surprise? Absolutely not. This team has big shoes to fill following the 73-9 record last year, even though they came up short in the finals. Adding another superstar to that already stacked roster made them an instant favorite.
Don’t forget about the MVP race. That will be a season long battle for whoever is deemed the victor come the end of the season. Damian Lillard made sure to make a statement opening night and has his eyes on the prize.
Lillard dropped 39 last night against the Jazz, leading the Trail Blazers to a 113-104 victory. Warriors coach Steve Kerr favors Lillard to be the MVP this season, over anyone on his super team.
With many more opening games tonight, viewers look for what rookies are going to stand out amongst the pack and what sophomore players will become elite players the season. There are many question marks surrounding players and teams. The NBA has a lot in store this season and the fans are excited to watch it unfold.
